    Tech Electronics installs new telecommunications system for Kansas City Board of Public Utilities

    Tech Electronics, a solutions-based systems integrator and technology services organization, has partnered with the Kansas City Board of Public Utilities (BPU) to develop and install a new telecommunications system for the utility’s electric and water services. The project installations began in January and were finalized on March 14 and include a single, cloud-ready software stream for BPU’s installation sites, and over 600 IP phone sets from industry-leading Mitel.

    Unified communications system for growing retail chain stores across three states

    Missouri-based Pyramid Foods was once a small neighborhood grocery store with roots dating back to 1919. Today, the company oversees 53 retail grocery stores in three states operating under several brand names such as Price Cutter, Ramey, Smitty’s and Save-A-Lot. As the company continued acquisitions and new store developments, including adding pharmacies and Starbucks coffee shops with free Wi-Fi service, it discovered how inefficient it was to maintain the existing telephone and communications systems at its stores.
