City of Boonville, MO
Located in the heart of Missouri, the City of Boonville attracts residents and tourists with its array of family-friendly attractions, including 12 public parks, a state-of-the-art aquatic center, and a visitor’s center and museum along the famed Katy Trail.
Challenge
Driven by its commitment to upholding public spaces that foster safety and enjoyment for all, the City needed security upgrades in response to incidents of vandalism across its facilities and to enhance public safety.
With a limited number of structures equipped with pre-existing security cameras, municipal authorities were in the process of preparing the City for new security systems by integrating a cutting-edge fiber backbone. With this technology newly in place and a sense of urgency from the recent incidents, Boonville was ready to execute a City-wide security revamp.
Solution
The City of Boonville sought to continue its partnership with Tech Electronics to pursue user-friendly security solutions that seamlessly integrate with a centralized network video recorder (NVR). Acknowledging Tech Electronics’ reputation for delivering tailor-made solutions calibrated to individual client needs and specific project sites, Teresa Studley, Assistant to the City Administrator for the City of Boonville, entrusted the responsibility of securing the community to their hands.
Drawing from Teresa’s requests, Tech Electronics’ System Specialist, John Braun, created a comprehensive strategy deploying Avigilon security cameras, providing the optimal response to Boonville’s security needs. Distinguished by their dependable, user-centric design and unparalleled search capabilities, Avigilon’s camera systems interface with the Avigilon Control Center (ACC) 7 software, a platform designed to revolutionize how operators engage with their security infrastructure and attain situational awareness.
The meticulous placement of diverse camera models—from dome and bullet-style to multi-imager variants—within indoor and outdoor facilities further augments the efficacy of the security architecture. Leveraging a fusion of high-speed fiber connections and point-to-point wireless bridges, the captured video feed from each camera converges with the City’s NVR, creating a well-fortified surveillance network.
Feedback
I couldn’t be happier with how these projects are going. In addition to adding basic safety for the community, we have increased security from the deterrent aspect of having the cameras installed. The service support has also been great. When needed, Tech Electronics has jumped in right away to take care of us- within a day, if not the same day.
