Collaboration on a project is a vital component to meeting deadlines and staying under budget. Misunderstandings on materials, or unclear communication on project needs causes delays and change orders.
That’s why Tech Electronics’ relationships with electrical contractors like Banta Electric in Indianapolis are such a crucial part of the construction process.
Banta Electric has been a recognized name in construction in the Indianapolis and Cincinnati areas since their establishment in 1985.
In that time, they have also brought Tech Electronics onto many of their job sites as their low-voltage integrator.
Most recently, Tech has been working with Banta on a $4.9 million AV project at a high school in the Indianapolis metro area including systems like CareHawk paging and intercom.
Nate Brown, a branch manager at Banta, said Tech’s reliability and expertise in their low-voltage systems has always been a value-add on their sites and they are always looking for their bids on projects.
"This group is far and away much easier to work with than the others. They always take the extra step."

Tech Electronics Regional Sales Manager Jeff Watson said one of those extra steps is the bill of materials and scope review meeting, an integral part of Tech’s bid and project workflow with electrical contractors to ensure everyone is on the same page.
During that meeting, every stage of the project, every system and component is reviewed to limit change orders and ensure any gaps in technologies or requirements are filled.
Mike Adams, an estimator with Banta, also commended the expertise and responsiveness of Tech’s project managers and field technicians.
He said they are not always as familiar with some of Tech’s systems like AV and pro sound and having that subject matter expert on site is a difference maker.
"They're very thorough. It's nice to know if something comes up, these guys can take care of it."
Mike Adams
Tech’s expertise in all low-voltage systems, from fire and life safety, to security, to AV and communications means electrical contractors can consolidate all those systems under one bid, eliminating headaches and operational inefficiencies.
