Tech Electronics installs new telecommunications system for Kansas City Board of Public Utilities

Tech Electronics, a solutions-based systems integrator and technology services organization, has partnered with the Kansas City Board of Public Utilities (BPU) to develop and install a new telecommunications system for the utility’s electric and water services. The project installations began in January and were finalized on March 14 and include a single, cloud-ready software stream for BPU’s installation sites, and over 600 IP phone sets from industry-leading Mitel.

“When you serve a customer base as large as BPU, business continuity is critical,” said Ed Lifka, Project Manager for Tech Electronics. “The new Mitel system provides system users with a high-degree of productivity and customers with a pleasant calling experience.”
